UT Southwestern is part of a new FC Dallas sponsorship

FC Dallas announced Wednesday that it has begun a multi-year partnership with Children’s Health and the UT Southwestern Medical Center to make them the club’s exclusive healthcare and hospital partners and new shirt sponsors.

Beyond the sponsorship, Children’s Health will provide FCD’s teams access to medical care. The healthcare providers will also partner with FCD on community engagement efforts to promote physical activity and health education.

“This is an important moment in our club’s history as we partner with two of the leading health care providers in the country,” said FCD President Dan Hunt. “We look forward to a true partnership between three organizations committed to the well-being and health of our North Texas community. This is something we believe will propel our entire organization both on and off the field for years to come.”

Children’s Health, through its Andrews Institute and UT Southwestern, will provide FCD, from the first team down to the youth teams, access to athletic trainers, physicians, orthopedic and urgent care services.

The healthcare providers will also be associate partners of the FC Dallas Community Clinics, which provide opportunities for youth in underserved communities to participate in soccer clinics. Additionally, they will present two $5,000 college scholarships annually to deserving FCD youth senior student-athletes who demonstrate championship character.

“UT Southwestern appreciates the opportunity to partner with FC Dallas on several strategic health and educational opportunities to benefit the people and communities across North Texas,” said Marc A. Nivet, Ed.D., M.B.A., Executive Vice President for Institutional Advancement at UT Southwestern.

FCD will honor and celebrate patients, doctors, nurses and employees from both healthcare providers at home matches throughout the season, beginning with the season opener on Feb. 25 when they will be the presenting sponsors. Additionally, FC Dallas and North Texas SC player ambassadors will visit Children’s Health and UT Southwestern patients at hospital locations across the DFW area.

Children’s Health will be featured on FCD’s primary jersey, while UT Southwestern Medical Center will be showcased on FCD’s secondary jersey to be unveiled on Thursday, Feb. 16, at the club’s annual kickoff event, Cocktails and Cleats. Their logos will be on all of the club’s jerseys, including those for MLS Next Pro team North Texas SC, the MLS Next Academy teams, youth teams and its eMLS player, as well as other team merchandise.

This new shirt sponsorship comes after FCD and Frisco-based information technology company MTX Group ended their partnership at the end of 2022, just two years into what was supposed to be a seven-year deal.
