Jonathan Check, a San Antonio native and lifelong Texan, covers San Antonio FC and other soccer in the area for The Striker Texas.
Check has covered San Antonio FC since their inception in 2016 for Pitch Black News and the Beautiful Game Network, while also occasionally joining the San Antonio Soccer Roundtable to discuss SAFC and covering San Antonio Athenians SC for Las Rojas. Check graduated from Texas State University in 2017 with a degree in journalism and mass communication and interned with the San Antonio Scorpions FC in the summer of 2014.
Jonathan currently lives in San Antonio. His love of soccer began while following the 2010 World Cup and he also follows and supports Manchester City FC and the United States national teams.
