Chris Bils, an Ohio native who moved to Austin in 2016, covers Austin FC and is a Co-Founder of The Striker Texas.
Bils previously covered Austin FC and local soccer for the Austin American-Statesman, while also freelancing for The Dallas Morning News and other publications. Before moving to Texas, he worked at the St. Joseph News-Press in Missouri. He graduated from Ashland University in 2014 with a degree in Digital Media Journalism, and interned for the Columbus Crew in the fall of 2013.
Chris lives in Round Rock, and when he’s not tweeting there is a good chance you’ll find him on the fairways of Forest Creek. He fell in love with soccer during the 2006 World Cup and played left back for local club in his hometown called Arlington Arsenal.
