El Paso Locomotive FC announced Midfielder Diego Luna has been called to the U.S. Under-20 Men’s Youth National Team January Training Camp. Luna will train with the team from January 24 to February 2 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida as it continues preparations for this summer’s CONCACAF U-20 Championship, which will serve as qualification to the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics.

This will be Luna’s second time being called to the Stars and Stripes U-20 squad, having first been called in November to compete in the inaugural Revelation Cup in Mexico. The 2021 USL Young Player of the Year nominee played just under 120 minutes, recording a goal against the Mexico U-20s to equalize the scoring.

Diego Luna and El Paso Locomotive FC will kick off its 2022 USL Championship season on March 12 on the road against Sacramento Republic FC in a match that will be broadcast live on ESPN+. The club will return to Southwest University Park on March 19 for its Home Opener against New Mexico United. Individual game tickets for the 2022 USL Championship season go on sale to the general public starting Friday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m. MT, but will be available to Season Ticket Members, group leaders, and fans who signed up for the Locomotive Priority List in a staggered release throughout the week starting Tuesday, January 25.
